Springfield had its best finish in recent history during the 2017 season, finishing third in the NCGA East and qualifying to NCGA nationals as a team for the first time since 2010. Springfield has improved steadily since Jennifer Naguch took over the program for the 2016 season. The program routinely has a small but strong team among Division III but still garners a number of individual national titles with the most recent coming from Abby Clark on the beam in 2015. Notable past Springfield gymnasts include Patti Corrigan (12-time All-American), Debbie Dunkley (seven-time All-American), Brittany Baglow (four-time All-American) and recent graduate Marissa DeAngelo (seven-time All-American) who also holds the vault and all around all-time records for the team. Led by Jennifer Naguch in her third season, Springfield looks to continue its success, hopefully qualifying to NCGA nationals for the second year in a row.
