Penn State

The Nittany Lions are another one of those teams regularly present at NCAA regionals and at the NCAA National Championships. They have made it to nationals as a team 17 times in program history, with the most recent being in 2014. Penn State boasts one individual national champion in Pam Loree, who won vault in 1986. The 2016 and 2017 seasons were rocky ones for the Nittany Lions with up and down results, sidelined athletes and abuse allegations surrounding the coaching staff. Some well-known former gymnasts are Brandi Personett, Sharaya Musser and Katie Rowland.
